In DRC, particularly in Muanda, Perenco's CSR programme focuses on five issues: transport, access to safe water, access to electricity, health and employment.
Perenco allocated funds to repairing several national roads, and a local airport. Improving the local infrastructure in this way significantly improves the local economy by removing barriers to the free flow of goods and people to markets.

The company provides SNEL, the state electricity supplier, with 1-MW of power, so providing electricity indirectly to Muanda City and the local military camp. Perenco also supplies six villages with 250-KW electrical power and has restored the delta connections of the navy camp at Banana, and of the Pioka district, which had been obsolete for 20 years.
Perenco has built eleven free clinics in local villages providing communities with substantive medical care. The company also supports a rubbish clearance scheme, in association with the local authorities and the NGO Bunkete, in order to help to eradicate tropical diseases.
